I recreated this photo by making sure its half of a face with alot of expression in the eye like the original! Except instead of it being from an exact face i took a picture of a drawing making it somewhat different but still the same.

ANSWERS TO QUOTES- DUE/ NOV. 18

“Photography records the gamut of feelings written on the human face, the beauty of the earth and skies that man has inherited, and the wealth and confusion man has created. It is a major force in explaining man to man.” ~Edward Steichen

-          I agree with Edward because humans themselves express a lot through emotional expressions whether its with their body language or facial expressions. Beauty is everywhere it just depends on the eye of the beholder.
“I just think it's important to be direct and honest with people about why you're photographing them and what you're doing. After all, you are taking some of their soul.” ~Mary Ellen Mark

-          I don’t  think taking a picture is like taking some of a persons soul its just capturing their beauty and features in one moment. It is important to be blunt and honest on what you’re goal is while photographing them because they can help with their expressions or ideas.
#2 “My portraits are more about me than they are about the people I photograph.” ~Richard Avedon.
-The artist is expressing themselves through his photographs from the beauty and features of others to spread the image he has in his head or a message he is trying to show.

#3 “You don't take a photograph, you make it.” ~Ansel Adams

-          You bring the beauty out of what is in front of your lense you aren’t just handed a beautiful photograph.

#4 “All photographs are there to remind us of what we forget. In this - as in other ways - they are the opposite of paintings. Paintings record what the painter remembers. Because each one of us forgets different things, a photo more than a painting may change its meaning according to who is looking at it.” ~John Berger
-everyone has their own mind and own look at things. What to some people is ugly to others it is breathtaking. Also, vice versa.
